FINANCE EE
Corporate Finance in Emerging EuropeFINANCIAL GATES GmbH, a member of the publishing group Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung GmbH, is the leading German publishing company specializing in corporate and public finance topics. In 2001, FINANCIAL GATES launched FINANCE, the German magazine for CFOs. Since then, it has increased its readership to over 20,000 financial executives and has received numerous journalistic awards.
In 2008, FINANCIAL GATES published the first issue of its new English-language magazine, FINANCE EE – The executive magazine for Emerging Europe, supplemented by the first CFO Summit Emerging Europe & CIS in Vienna in October 2008. FINANCE EE combines top-executive business-case experience with thorough background information and analysis by drawing on the experience of the expert FINANCE staff, external journalists and professionals in banks, consultancies and companies. The magazine covers the entire range of CFO responsibilities and executive issues in three sections: Leadership, Finance, Markets & Players.
- Leadership highlights the strategic function of the finance department and the CFO as an individual. The section features articles that discuss how finance departments and CFOs should and in fact do exert strategic influence and leadership and how corporate and financial strategies correlate.
- Finance covers the actual toolbox of corporate finance executives. This can include stories on variations in regional accounting standards or on the latest in financial IT systems as well as on the usage of financial products such as leasing, factoring, syndicated loans, asset-backed securities or on private equity.
- Markets & Players broadens the scope to topics not necessarily in the immediate realm of corporate finance that still play a key role for executives charting a com- pany’s strategic course and financial outlook. This can include stories on macro- economic developments or briefings on particular sectors, reports on M&A activities or regional integration as well as on regulatory reform, tax or legal issues.
